Does anyone have any tips on keeping them that way?

Wash them seperately to everything else, with a bio or non bio powder, not a liquid, and on a 60 degree wash

I wash them on a short cold wash first, that seems to stop the stains from setting. Then wash with powder, I use Persil. Line dry in the sun if possible.
