A hanging rail for coats?

Has anyone got a hanging rail for their coats instead of coat racks? We seem to have so many coats, that we run out of coat hooks, and I'm thinking a coat hanging rail might be a better idea?
What's your verdict?

Rail is better for the clothes. Keep their shape better.

Thanks, I hadn't thought of that. We probably will go with a rail then.

We only have wall hooks but then we (me) are quite strict with it! Everyday winter coats (one each) are kept on there in the winter then when it warms up, they are out back in the wardrobe and the lighter coats come out for the rest of the year.

Looks tidier than a pile of coats hanging there too and we don't have space for a rail.

Our coats seem to multiply, each DC seems to have at least 3, it's crazy.
We don't have a wardrobe at the moment, but we will be buying some soon, so we'll try to put the spares in there. It's pretty obvious once we think about it, but I hadn't!

We have the ikea hemmes one.
It has a rail for coats, hooks and a shelf.
Really versatile

I had a look, did you mean this one? www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/small-storage-organisers/racks-stands/mackapär-coat-rack-with-shoe-storage-unit-art-30334752/
It does look great, I'll have to check it fits in the space available.

I've purchased several different rails over the years... most collapse! These ones have been a godsend, and plenty of room! www.displaysense.co.uk/pos-merchandising/clothes-rails
