Washing machine to sink connection ?

Picked my new washing machine up after a nightmare with me old one went for a hoover model the drain hose is held to washer with a metal clip do i remove this and run the hose along the floor and up to sink or does it stay attached to the clip and go strait up and over to sink al put pics on soon thanks

Do i remove the hose from the clip and let it lie on the floor then up to sink or keep it up

Keep it up. The drain hose needs to go up higher than where it is fixed to the undersink pipework or dirty water can get down it and into the machine and give you no end of problems.
