Morning all.

I've done no housework all week as the DDs have been keeping me busy but thought I'd show my face and open today's thread.

Last night DD1 was sick all over her bed so I am now knee deep in bedding, duvet and pillows to wash. She seems brighter this morning. I am hoping against hope that DD2s growth spurt is coming to an end too.

I plan to tidy my front garden over the weekend so will count that as part of this weeks zone. My dining room is clean and tidy apart from a few piles of dry washing which will be taken up later.

Have a good day all.

EHM · 06/04/2007 08:41

EHM · 06/04/2007 08:42

EHM · 06/04/2007 08:43

Right must get on & get ready. tort I've never been to Suffolk before we are visiting my friend who has a weekend/holiday cottage there. Really looking forward to it.

ludaloo · 06/04/2007 08:46

Morning

oooohhhhh glass that sounds grim I'm glad she seems brighter though!

SherlockLGJ now go away and put your feet up (or whatever you ladies of luxury do)

Well I have to
~do a quick tidy round,
~go to PO
~go to shop
~do washing and get it hung out
~make lunch
~meet shouldbe
~come home and do dinner
~That's about it!!!

glassslipper · 06/04/2007 08:46

ludaloo · 06/04/2007 08:49

Oh EHM didn't see you there, I took so long doing my post!!

Have a fab weekend!!!The cottage sounds lovely. Hope the weather in Suffolk is good for you. Take care and we'll see you when you get back

SherlockLGJ · 06/04/2007 08:52

Glass

I will tell you how desperate I am to hold on her. She has recently taken a full time a job and offered to come on a Saturday morning at 9.00 and I readily said yes, yes, yes.

ludaloo · 06/04/2007 08:57

She sounds like she is a good cleaner though...especially if she is worth sacrificing a lie-in!!!
Gosh, I bet she'll be knackered!! I would love a cleaner but couldn't really justify having one.

BabiesEverywhere · 06/04/2007 09:03

Same here but we can dream about having a cleaner

SimplySparkling · 06/04/2007 09:19

Hello to all.

glassslipper I hope your dd1 is feeling much better now.

EHM Have a lovely trip.

shouldbe and luda Enjoy your meet-up!

Hi BabiesEverywhere. If it is any consolation, I find having a cleaner very expensive so mine won't be coming to me anymore soon. I've let her know so that she can accept any other work offered. I am going to have to get more organised when I do it myself aren't I? [oh dear emoticon needed]

ludaloo · 06/04/2007 09:30

simply It must be a big help though having a cleaner, especially if you work too.

I'd like a cleaner to come and do the bits I really hate...like putting washing away, cleaning the bathroom and downstairs loo, um..the cooker...oooohhh a cook!!!! I'd love a cook!! .... but until that day....I will just have to keep at it!

Its a lovely sunny morning again here...i will get some washing out I think, I haven't actually managed to anything yet!!!

BabiesEverywhere · 06/04/2007 09:37

I have to get moving my good friend is visiting us later and it is the first time she has been to this house !!!

So I'll be enjoying showing my house off except for the box room which will be a open door/shut door part of the tour.

DONE
d/w emptied
w/m 2 loads
Hung out washing
Cleaned kitchen

TO DO
All the floors downstairs and upstairs
Empty Kitchen Bin
Ironing stuff when washing is dry
Make up spare bed with the clean ironed bed linen

Lastly enjoy the sunshine

EHM · 06/04/2007 09:49

SSThanks have a good weekend.
babies enjoy your friends visit.

Right I really I am off this time, still not dressed, although Ellie is. She you all on Sunday.

Jelley · 06/04/2007 10:27

Morning all
I seem to have done nothing this week, but am up for a big blitz today.

DS was sick inbed last night, so I too am doing extra washing.
I've given the bathroom a really good clean, and scrubbed the floor.

Now I'm off with ds to shop, then hopefully he will sleep and I can get another room done.

SimplySparkling · 06/04/2007 10:57

Hello again. Dd and I are having a 10 min break, though having looked at the mission (a rarity for me) I just want to get cracking! We've tidied up the kitchen, loaded the d/w and done the washing up. Also have done the recycling. Much more to do!

luda It is bright outside here though it was very misty this morning. There is a dodgy smell outside. I hope it doesn't mean that I have to do all the washing that is on the line again. I'd better go and decide whether I ought to bring it in and tumble dry it to avoid having to do that. There is about 5 loads' worth on the line.

Hi Jelley. Sorry to hear that your ds was ill. I hope he is better now.

shouldbe · 06/04/2007 11:18

Good morning froma very sunny Wales

Had a good journey and arrived at about 11.30pm - not bad as we didn't even leave home till 8.45pm It's a beautiful morning and we're all looking forward to meeting Luda after lunch , mind you, we're only just having breakfast!

Not a bit of FLYing in sight for at least the next 3 days

BabiesEverywhere · 06/04/2007 12:03

Shouldbe Surely a clean house left empty doesn't need any cleaning...just enjoy your holiday and a well deserved break from the cleaning.

TO DO
All the floors downstairs and upstairs Upstairs Done Waiting until DD is up from nap
Empty Kitchen Bin Done
Ironing stuff when washing is dry Washing still drying, so ironing will be tomorrow and it WILL BE TOMORROW ;)
Make up spare bed with the clean ironed bed linen Done

Also oiled dining room table, cleaned dining room chairs, sorted playpen and DD toys

So all I need to do is get dressed and showered, hoover downstairs/stairs and bring the washing in when dry...anything else can wait until tomorrow.

Oh my it is nice to be able to gentle wander around the house and do a bit of housework, rather than a crisis cleanup session (as you haven't donw anything in ages)

I know my house is far from being perfectly clean and tidy but I'm working on it and give me another 6 months and I think I'll get there

SimplySparkling · 06/04/2007 12:51

I think I'll be there by the end of the year BabiesEverywhere. It's nice to see that you're getting there, isn't it? My dsis has a saying:- Progress not perfection.

Jelley · 06/04/2007 13:17

You are right babieseverywhere it is lovely not to be constantly trying to catch up with the basic cleaning. I've been doing a little bit of window cleaning and seed planting this morning.

DS seems ok. I left him with dd1 to have his bottle last night as dd2 needed an urgent shower, and I think he drank too quickly and filled up with wind.

Mhamai · 06/04/2007 13:23

Ooh sheepish hello everyone! I have been trying to catch up with coursework, so not much time for flying at the mo. I have been doing the basics but that's about it. Anyway just wanted to pop on to say I'm not gone for good but just won't be on as much until I'm up to speed with essay's. Happy flying.

SimplySparkling · 06/04/2007 15:29

Hi Jelley and Mhamai. Dd and I have just had a half hour break from sorting out the spare bedroom. I've filled one bag for the charity shop and there is another load finishing in the w/m. In a bit I think I'm going to put out of season clothing in one of those space saver bags I bought the other day. I hope the instructions are easy to follow.

How is the essay writing going Mhamai?

Mhamai · 06/04/2007 16:11

Hi SimplySparkling The essay writing is going painfully slow It's a bit difficult too at the mo as ds is off school too. I'm writing (no pun untended!) off the weekend but will have to knuckle down again come Monday. Well done you for tackling [sp?] your spare bedroom.

Aufish · 06/04/2007 17:08

Hi everybody, don't done alot today in the house but have been doing the front and back gardens, am absolutely shattered! Did most of my ironing last night and am feeling alot better for it! Have a good evening.
