How do you clean your hard floors?

Do you use a steam mop, floor wipes or a good old fashioned mop and bucket?

What products do you use?

I use wood floor cleaner on my real wood floors and Stardrops and a cap of zoflora in the kitchen. I have a steam mop which is ok but I sometimes feel it doesn't clean effectively. I like my mop bucket at the minute. I used to just but cheap ones but got sick of them breaking so invested in a £5 vileda one. That was 7 years ago and it's still going strong!

Just curious as to what other people use, maybe looking for some new ideas Smile

For the wood floor I vac and or use a duster style mop dry. I sometimes use Method wood cleaner because I like the smell. Very occasionally I use an emop with just water. On the LVT we have, I vac or brush then use the emop with a bit of Zoflora in the hot water.

Vacuum & then mop with Flash All Purpose.

I seem to remember my sister using something sheepy on her floors. I must ask her. Our parquet looks awful these days.

I use an e cloth deep clean mop. It's a mop with a flat swivel head onto which the cloth attaches with Velcro fastenings. It on a telescopic pole. My mum is a cleaner and loves hers so bought me one I think it was about £20. You run the cloth under a very hot tap, attach to the mop and go. I've got quite a large kitchen and rinse the cloth 3 or 4 times when I clean the floor. The idea of it is that its environmentally friendlier way of cleaning - you don't need to use cleaning fluid with it although as I have young children I choose to use an anti bacterial or lavender cleaning spray l when I use mine. And you need to hoover first. It takes around 5-10 minutes to do my floor

Just thought I would add my mum used to use a steam cleaner but prefers this

Definitely going to check out the Method wood cleaner, adore lovely smelling products! what does it smell like @wowfudge?

Sorry for being thick, what does sheepy mean, @Fekko

I love the ecloth cloths so will definitely have a look at that, I had no idea they did mops!@JKR123

Almond @ParadiseLaundry

I love the method almond wood floor cleaner. I also have the e cloth mop system with the dry duster cloth and deep clean ones, they are both very good.

I love almond! I've just had a look at those mops, they've blown my mind. I love how you can get the dusting head too, I bet using that would actually mean you wouldn't need to mop as often. Not sure I can justify the expense this month though Sad
