Help! Stain removal question

DH just got a lovely new pair of Cats last week.

What will get engine oil out of his nice new boots?

No idea.

For oil stains on clothes I use talc, cornflour or maybe bicarb? They will at least soak the oil up

I tend to rub oil stains with liquid hand soap
