Doormats!

I have a wooden floor in the hall, which has had a rubber-backed coir runner on it. Somehow (moisture getting through from wet feet?) the rubber backing has adhered to the floor and it's buggered it up.

I'm not too bothered about the floor as it's on the very long list of home improvements, but I want to sort the mat situation.

So, please recommend me two marvellous doormats. One for outside - we have no porch so it needs to withstand weather and not blow down the drive - and one for inside.

Try Lakeland mats. They won't be cheap but they will be good at their job, and if there's a problem , tell the company about it and they will see you right.

I've got the dunelm ones inside and they are great. Shove them in the washing machine and they come up like new.

Hessian ones are good for trapping dirt not sure about wetness

I have Turtle Mats which are wonderful as you can put them in the washing machine :)

Thanks! Any good tips for an outside one?

And down the line, where do we stand on mat wells?
