I'm looking for some rug assistance!
I have a large cream shag pile rug (not mine I hasten to add - landlady's!) which, being cream, is starting to look a little manky - but I am at a total loss as to how to clean it and get it looking whiter!
The label states '100% Modacrylic Tufted' and says 'Professionally clean only' ....I hoover it regularly and have on occasion taken it outside to beat it in the old-fashioned but effective way, but unfortunately it's still looking distinctly grey in places, not helped by a marauding kitty with muddy paws...
Can anyone advise how I can get this looking clean, without having it professionally cleaned (as we don't live anywhere near a cleaner!)? See attached photo....
