Average hourly rate for a cleaner?

Hi, I was just wondering if people could help? I am hoping to employ a cleaner for a couple of hours a week. What is the average cost per hour? I am in Northampton (East Midlands).
Many thanks in advance for your help 😀.

Would you mind sharing the details for your cleaner TheHonGalahadThreepwood if you are based in London? Its really difficult to find a good cleaner these days!

I would, Romenaa, but unfortunately I'm nowhere near London. We found her on gumtree - our original cleaner kept cancelling at short notice so we often had to find a replacement at the last minute. DH rang up a few ads: some of them were very sniffy about the short notice, whereas this particular one was very cheerful and just slotted us in, no fuss, came round and did a brilliant job each time. We got her in every time our old cleaner cancelled, and when old cleaner finally left for good (again, with no notice) we got her to come every week. It might be worth getting a few people in for one-off cleans to see how you get on with them, and then asking one of them if they could fit you in on a regular basis once you know you've found someone good? Alternatively, try personal recommendations from friends or colleagues? Good luck in your search!
