I'm tired of tiddly loads. I have 4 dcs and need to wash clothes constantly.

What is the biggest washing machine you can get that will fit in a standard sized kitchen / utility room?

Biggest one I have ever had (have had 2 actually) that fits in a standard space is a 12kg drum. Think I may have seen one up to 15kg (but not 100% that would fit under a kitchen counter).

The only problem with super large capacity washers is that they take absolutely ages to wash a full load. Bigger drum plus water restrictions and energy efficiency restrictions means that they have to wash a lot longer to get good results.

I'm one of 4 and for years my Mum had an old Hotpoint that had a 4kg drum (I think. It was the standard size at the time) but it only took 45 minutes for a full wash because the drum was so small and it used to full half way up and use boatloads of water.
