Smelly house

My kitty litter is getting out of hand! I clean it each time she uses it and change the whole thing regularly, clean the tray properly in between changes and even regularly buy new litter trays. But I can't get rid of that "cat" smell in my house and it's honestly so nauseating. What tips do you guys have for keeping the house smelling nice? Any advice would be appreciated!! Smile

Zoflora is toxic to cats though.

Buy some litter liners. Supermarkets sell them, but the zooplus ones are thicker and more robust.

Oh, sorry then OP, I can't help!

You could try to change to a raw food diet. I have 2 indoor cats. Totally reduces odour of poo so can no longer smell litter trays in the house. Reduces volume of poo too.

Try experimenting with different litter. I used to use catsan but hated the smell, so switched to Cats Best (pellets)after reading about it on here. It is ruddy expensive but lasts ages and much nicer on the nose!

Zoflora is fine, as long as they are nowhere near it when its wet on the floor.

In case they lick their paws.

Once its dry, its ok.

Change the full tray daily and if it still smells then it means your cat is pissing on the carpets ? If you change litter regular then it shouldnt smell so if you can notice the smell of cat piss then it must mean the cat is pissing elsewhere than its tray . Also if you can smell it , it will be twice as bad to anyone who comes into the house
