Hotpoint or Candy condenser tumble dryer?

lostin2017 · 07/09/2017 09:01

Any opinion please?

The hotpoint one is slightly smaller, but price wise they are similar.

Unsure which one to go for!

Any thoughts gratefully received Smile

Which? is refusing to endorse any Hotpoint appliances until the parent company Whirlpool sorts out the dangerous tumble dryer modification debacle. That said, we had a Hotpoint tumble dryer for many years and it was excellent.

We had a hotpoint it was terrible, stopped working effectively after about 6months (i.e. Things would still be damp after an hour or next time red hot) then gave up the ghost the minute it was out of warranty. Can't speak for candy but I'd swerve hotpoint!

Hotpoint are appalling, both in the quality of their appliances and their nonexistent customer service. I had a hotpoint washing machine that broke down 16 times in 4 years!!!! Had a Candy for years and loved it .

Thanks longhair and notreally. Really glad I asked now as was leaning towards the hotpoint!!

Wheresthattomoibabber that says it all really! lostin I wish I'd had the same advice before I spent a fortune on duds (I got washing machine, fridge/freezer and dryer and have had problems with all constantly!)

I've got a Candy and it's great, the larger load is very handy. Never had a problem with it.
