Talk to me about doormats

Inside and outside what do you use? I haven't found any that I'm happy with. The outside ones are always water logged so no help with wet shoes.

I have bought the magic ones for inside which are ok but get super dirty very quickly. That's fine they can go in the washing machine however they don't all fit plus I've just pulled one of the smaller ones from the machine and another one bites the dust as the rubber has peeled away again (3rd time now).

How do you keep your doormats nice?

We have rubber ones outside and washable inside. I hoover the inside ones and wash them occasionally, but the rubber edge does seem to go. We have a dirt trapper one which has no rubber edge and is washable and that seems pretty good. I have three by the front door: rubber outside, coir in porch and dirt trapper in hall because DP never wipes his feet properly!
