Does anyone make their own cleaning products?

I'm thinking of trying to make my own cleaning products? I personally think it's better for the environment and cheaper. I looked in the cleaning cupboard and its full of various sprays and bottles. It just seems to unnecessary. Plus, since the birth of my son, I'm becoming more and more aware of chemicals in the household around him.

So, I've heard stuff about vinegar, lemons and bicarb of soda in the past but at a loss about where to actually start. Does anyone do it themselves and could give me any tips?

Yep - use all three! Just pour bicarb on surfaces and mix round and wipe off - good for kitchen sinks / bathrooms. Can mix a bit of distilled vinegar in (the white stuff!) and add lemon. I quite often use half a lemon after and then wipe off after to take away any vinegar smell (which never lasts!). I also use lemon oil drops in water and spray - I follow a lot of natural cleaning tips on line!

I use lots of vinegar, and a soda crystals spray. Bicarbonate of soda and washing soda crystals.
