Hi Nut, I'm not doing alot either today, think this house is tidy enough to survive one day of not cleaning. I hope you feel better and your little one's teeth come through quickly.

EHM · 03/04/2007 13:29

shouldbe you have done well.njoys hhope ds his swin & dd enjoyed her day.
Hi bewilderyour poor ds
9nut get well soon{hugs} poor ds it's awful when they are teething

Back from meeting friend had a nice time, her twins are so cute & very good.

Just finished giving Ellie her lunch as she was asleep when I got back. So I cleaned bathroom. I am off to make myself a sandwich

Thanks Aufish, DS is asleep now (in sling) so I have an hour of peace anyway. You're right about the housework - one day isn't going to make much difference. BTW where does your name come from? Inspired by the something fishy website?

I have just received a Lakeland.co.uk delivery - loads of fab (and slightly unnecessary, given our current finances) stuff:

  • A Tefal cheese preserver (tupperware with a charcoal filter, you put cheese in it and keep it in the 'fridge - it allegedly keeps the cheese perfectly without wrapping)
  • Two pastry brushes where the 'bristles' are actually rubber and won't fall off onto the pastry - I have terrible trouble with that normally, and also I can never wash the beggars properly.
  • A plastic carrier bag saver
  • Some soapnuts, which I have been meaning to try for ages - there is a wash on right now so I will let you know how I get on
  • A new peg carrier and loads of new pegs
  • Err, more charcoal filters for the above cheese preserver

Oh you can't beat shopping online can you? Funny to think that a year or so ago I would have been buying high heeled shoes and fancy makeup for myself, rather than items to do with housework Plus ca change!

Its my nickname from dp should be goldfish, as he says I have a memory of one! Usually find that when I want a nickname on any forum that goldfish is quite popular, so au is the chemical symbol of gold, hence Aufish! Pretty simple really

NineUnlikelyTales · 03/04/2007 13:53

Aha! Very clever, that chemical symbol thingy I do wonder how people chose their names.

Aufish · 03/04/2007 14:03

So what's the story behind NineUnlikelyTales? That is such a great name!

NineUnlikelyTales · 03/04/2007 14:06

Why thank you{blush} It's funny, I was just answering that question on another thread. It's the title of an E Nesbit book (lady who wrote 'The Railway Children' and 'Five Children and It') and it just happened to be the first book I clapped eyes on when at my pc trying to think of a user name!

shouldbe · 03/04/2007 16:43

Ahhh - home from swimming - ds clung to me for dear life mostly and kept asking if it was time to get out yet, but we got into the swing of it in the end and he says he had fun Dd enjoyed her fun day too, although she was crying when I collected her cos she'd spotted me and ds swimming and was to be missing out. We all went to a cafe for some cake then had a potter round a bookshop, it was very nice and the lo's were reasonably well behaved
NUT you've reminded me of some bits I was hoping to order from Lakeland...might have a browse on their site later

Afternoon All

Been out all day, had a dental appointment (check up so good I didn't get the pink mouthwash...15.90 and see you in 6 months). Then I got the bus to the next town to buy DS some summer uniform, check the charity shops and pop to ASDA. Other than my morning routine, sorting out DS this morning, emptying the DW, bringing in the drying, playing with DS and doing online banking I have done beggar all in the FLY dept.

Hope things are going well for you all.

Evening all.
Hope all have had a good day. We have.
Put posters up for DD2's lost bunny then not long after we got home a woman phoned to say she had it!
When i met up with her she said her DP found it and thought their dog would like it! Luckily they saw the poster before the dog got hold of it. Phew! So DD2 is snuggled up in bed happy to have rabbit back.

Have done another hour digging in the garden today. Not done much else!

Hope eveyone is well and had a good day.
