Back on Mumsnet after a long absence... and intending to FLY.

Start as I mean to go on. Today have:

Taken DD1 to the doctor and picked up eye drops from pharmacy.
Posted two parcels.
Made up the formula milk.
Washed up.
unloaded and loaded dishwasher.
Done Monday's mission, with "help" from DD1.
Cleaned loo, hand basin and bath.
Put a load of washing on.
Phoned local Montesorri nursery re place for DD1.

Still to do:
Put some petrol in car.
Roll up sitting room carpet in preparation for potty training tomorrow.
Get some cash out.
Brush my hair.

Hello everyone

Hi to mardybum smile...great start back!!!

Well we have been busy making the most of the sunshine

Went into town, to go to bank, get timetables from Leisure Centre, get more plants for the fish tank, and buy some birthday presents for a party DD1 has been invited to this holiday (twin girls...so pressie buying was strangely difficult!!)

Then my friend and her two DD's met up with us for a picnic, and a walk in the woodlands. We paddled in the river, collected pine cones, and enjoyed the sun!

Have done a couple of loads of washing early this morning, but thats it on the FLY front!! Just going to put dinner on...I'm starved!!!

shouldbe sorry...didn't get back on yesterday!! I'll try again when dinner is in

grouchyoscar · 02/04/2007 16:48

Hello again ALL

Hi EHM hope you're well and Ellie is on the mend

Had a lovely peaceful afternoon. Been out in the garden with DS since 12. I made us a picnic lunch for the garden, tidied it away, cleaned out DS's water table, filled it and added cooked spaghetti, played with next doors twins, emptied the water table, swept the garden and put everything away.

DS is utterly shattered now

Got loads of drying done today so there's now loads of putting away to do. Ho Hum

Hope you've all had nice sunny days

EHM · 02/04/2007 16:52

grouchy Sounds like you had a lovely day. Ellie is so much better thanks. Only the scabs to get over now. She has been a wee trouper through it all. I love the sunshine really looking forward to a really long spring & summer.

tortoise · 02/04/2007 19:48

Evening all.
Sounds like everyone has had a good day in the sun. We have!
Went to the park this morning and this afternoon i did about 2 hours of digging!! Still loads to do! I have decided to get as far as where the bonfire was and then weed killer all the stingers, Its a large patch of them so i think too much to dig out!

Have a nice hot bath ready to get in to soon. My back aches so needs a good soak.
DD's have had fun playing and helping me.

tortoise · 02/04/2007 22:18

No one around tonight?

Aufish · 02/04/2007 22:28

I'm about no school tomorrow so can stay up later! God I sound like a little kid again.

tortoise · 02/04/2007 22:34

Lol! I am always up late! Its mornings i can't do!

shouldbe · 02/04/2007 22:49

I'm about too - off to bed in a minute though...

Aufish · 02/04/2007 22:53

I hate mornings as well, hence the lovely lie ins that I have been having since the kids broke up from school. Its great having dp coming in at 8.30am when the kids are getting up, means I don't have to!
