Dying Towels - recommends please

We've just had new bathroom, en suite and downstairs wc fitted. Lovely and modern in white with grey tiles/decor - our towels however are mostly beige and don't look right.
Many are in very good condition and too good to consign to the dog towel pile.
I am considering dying some of the best ones in the washing machine but have never done any home dying since tie dying t-shirts in a bucket when I was a child.
I haven't researched widely yet but have seen that the dylon pods give uneven results.
Any tried and tested tips and recommendations?
TIA

towels are v cheap in most of the supermarkets tbh. I can't imagine it is financially worth it unless your towels are v expensive and luxurious.

Buy one set of "stunt towels " for when you have visitors and continue to use the existing ones when you don't have guests.
