Insert annoyed face
Pretty sure we bought a ceramic pan that was a con. It worked miraculously for a few weeks after getting it, but now that we've had it a few months, EVERYTHING sticks to it. Case in point: this morning when I tried to make DD some banana pancakes (a recipe I use regularly) they stuck to the pan to the point of no return. So I got out my (very good quality) stainless steel pan and made the rest in that, and they turned out perfectly.
Which makes me think that this "ceramic nonstick" pan had some sort of coating on it (which is none too healthy or natural as advertised, I'm sure) that washed off after several uses and now it's just a piece of crap.
Anyone else ever have this experience with a ceramic pan? Is there a way to make it magically non-stick again? DH often likes to cook weekend breakfasts in it as he says it's "easier"... or at least WAS easier when it was truly nonstick.
