I have been searching for jewellery cleaner but can't find any. I have GOT to clean my engagement ring - it is minging. A solitaire in a claw and it looks vile. So what can i use if I can't find jewellery cleaner or where can I find the bloody stuff?

I've got a gold & diamomd jewellery dip from John Lewis that my mum gave me.

I have to say though that it does look and smell like diluted Fairy liquid and comes with a mini toothbrush for scrubbing off stubborn marks so the home remedies sound like a better deal

It does work though!

Go swimming! The chlorine cleans them very nicely

White Gold tends to be rhodium plated to give it a better shine, coke is to abrasive and takes the plating off.most stones are fine as long as its not a very soft stone like pearl or opal so diamonds sapphires rubies topaz etc are all fine.If you want the Platinum to be as shiny as it was when you bought it you need to get it polished at a jewellers but dont do it to often as it erodes the metal
