Hope this is the right place... I have just moved into a new home (new to me, not brand new - in fact, it is an old property) and I love it. The only problem is that I am constantly finding large flies in the kitchen and sometimes elsewhere in the house, although I think the origin is the kitchen. I don't know where they are coming from and feel a bit sick at the thought of a gaggle of flies somewhere near/within my home. How do I identify their entrance point and, if I can't, how do I get rid of them? I don't know if it is relevant but the previous tenants kept the house in an extremely dirty and untidy way. I'm certainly no neat or clean freak myself but this was something else - I viewed the property twice before signing up and in both cases, it was genuinely disgusting, with uncovered old food out in the kitchen, dirty crockery, cat poo on the floor... plus other animals in hutches which stank and the whole place was just... unhygienic. I don't know if this has caused the fly problem and only mention it to give a full picture of what the situation is. Can anyone help as I love my new home but hate these flies!
