Did it come with a manual?
In my opinion you'll be fine connecting via top of the cabinet but would check the manual first.

Also, don't forget to remove the transit bolts!

Sammy2017 · 07/08/2017 13:17

Yeah came with manual but doesnt show u how to connect to the sink yesh i have removed the bolts thanks

All washes plumb in in exactly the same way, it doesn't have to be someone who owns a Beko. They're all a standard fit.

There should be 2 hoses supplied. One is the cold water inlet (blue pipe) and the drain. One end of the inlet pipe screws into the corresponding inlet on the back of the washing machine - the manual will show you how to do this. The other end screws onto the inlet tap in the same way. Make sure they're on tight so they don't leak. Turn the water on and you're all hooked up.

The drain goes either into the stand pipe outlet or pushes onto a fitting under the sink drain.

Have you already taken your old washer out? Might be worth looking at how that is connected up and mirroring that on the new washer.

rabbit123 · 07/08/2017 17:51

On the diagram you've posted, there are 2 inlets on the back of the washer at the top right corner. The cold feed screws into the one on the right.

The one on the left looks like optional hot fill but you don't have a hot inlet pipe so don't worry about it.

Sammy2017 · 07/08/2017 17:53

Yes i have taken my old washer out but the old washer drained frim the bottom and went through the top hole down to sink but the new washer drain hose is at the top so it would go horisontal along the back off washing machine through the top hole and down to sink wasnt sure it that was ok as my naibour said his goes under the sink unit upto sink but then a was thinking when i emptyed the sink it would flow down the wast pipe but does matter if its up over or under unit ?

I don't know what you mean by the drain going under the sink, can you post a pic?

Our washer drains from the top too and the plumbing is under the sink in the cupboard next to it. We literally pushed ours through the whole in the side of the cupboard and then straight down the stand pipe as far as it would go.

As far as I'm aware, the drain hose at the top is exactly the same as the drain hose at the bottom but with the bottom bit built into the back of the machine so you can't see it.

Sammy2017 · 07/08/2017 19:36

You pushed yours through the hole in the side off the cubourd but the hole it goes through is it at the top middle or bottom ? And refering to under the cubord sink a mean the drain hose leaves the washer at the top drops to floor level under cubourd then bk up ti the stink thst sticks out for sink

Oh I understand.
Is that where your old washer used to drain to? That white pipe sticking up looks like a stand pipe, our washer drain pipe goes straight down the stand pipe as far as it will go.

You need to let the drain hose drop down behind the washing machine, otherwise it will syphon back up the hose and back up inside the washer

Sammy2017 · 07/08/2017 20:05

Yes but the standpipe is no longer there and if i connect it high like that with this washing machine there will be no drop down behine the washing machine as the sinks on the feft washers on the right would it be ok to use the hole in the middle off the unit then horizontal to sink then the hose would loop behind the washer a bit

Sammy2017 · 07/08/2017 20:08

Is ur standpipe at the left or right off ur washing machine as a think a might have to get a plummer to install one but on the other side off the washer not the dink side if thst makes sense

OP posts:
rabbit123 · 07/08/2017 21:01

Sammy, that hole in the side of the unit is where our drain pipe comes through. It's pretty much in the same place. So you should be fine to feed the drain hose through that hole and plug into the push-fitting under the sink 👍🏻

Thank u Smile
