question about voiles

Wonder if clever MNers can advise
I need some voiles but the designs I like are all in slot top heading.

Would it be easy enough to sew in tape top heading?

Tape top being curtain tape so you can gather it and use curtain hooks?

Sewing curtain tape onto curtains is simple, yes, but normal curtain tape is quite heavy and thick compared with voile fabric so if poss I'd look for extra lightweight tape, and expect it to be somewhat visible as voiles are sheer.
