Weird noise washing machine

We have an old Bosch washing machine - unsure how old as it was here when we moved10.5 years ago and was not new at that point. Making a weird noise like something trapped inside. Have checked all around seal as my boys have the habit of not emptying their pockets and filter - nothing obvious.

Worth getting it looked at or just canary in until it stops? Thinking it might be uneconomical to repair.

Carry on. Not intending washing small yellow birds.

Could be something in the pump. Does it have metal hatch where you can drain the water out and get access to the pump at the front to make sure nothing is trapped in there. Make sure you have a tub handy to collect the water as it pours out. Then usually unscrew and check for coins ect. Replace and then add some more water in draw of machine prior to new wash to replace what you drained off.

Most riveting update of the week.

DH and I dismantled the metal hatch twisty bit last night and discovered a small key of the sort to lock windows, and a 1p piece. Rattling explained. Another rant at my kids about empying their bastarding pockets.
