Ugh - how do I deal with a flying ant infestation?

Just got back from collecting the kids after a week away (them, not us - we've been out of the house for less than 24 hours). The utility room appears to be infested with flying ants. How on earth do I get rid of them?

Urgh - hoover them up or spray fly spray in there, shut the door and leave it a good while.

I'll send DH out to get fly spray. In the meantime I've closed the door to try and discourage them from venturing into any other rooms.

I feel all itchy - I might need a shower!

I am too late but I had this - I sprayed with bleach on suitable surfaces and used ant bait stations to stop the rest - it seemed to do the trick! They don't last long anyway but you have my sympathy it wasn't pleasant!!

Talcum powder the hole they are coming through! It's worked for us this week. They are so gross. I sympathise!!
