Storing curtains - vacuum bag or just fold?

I've just moved out of my house and until DFiance and I find somewhere to buy, I need to store all my stuff which includes six sets of stupidly expensive curtains. At the moment, they're folded up in a wardrobe but taking up loads of space. I bought a set of vacuum bags from Lakeland today, thinking it would help to compress them, but am now wondering if that's only going to create creases they might never recover from?

Also, moths?

Advice, please!

They will crease to buggery

Hmm. That's what my mum's voice in my head is now telling me. So would you just put them loosely in a bin bag with a moth repelling sachet?

Can you fold them and put them on sturdy hangers then put bin bags over open at the bottom? Then you can hang them up somewhere and reduce any creasing?
