Wash a pop up laundry basket?

Has anyone ever washed a pop up laundry basket in the machine? I have a 10 kg machine and if I fold it up do you think it will be ok?
Unfortunately ds has been having accidents in the night and been putting wet pants in there so now it's rather smelly!

Will I ruin my machine or shall I give it a go?

DW did ours the other week, it was fine (basket & machine)

I don't think I would risk it.
What about washing it in the bath?

I suppose it's the case of finding somewhere for it to drip dry! I live in a flat!

Yes we did, it didn't work well! The basket had a cardboard inner base which we didn't realise and which then turned to mush.

Did not think of that! Will check it out before I do it!
