Toilet cleaning tips!

My usual method is a twice weekly scrub and bleach with some extra bleach thrown in as needed.
I have always used domestos and prided myself on my clean toilet.

We moved house back in January and have inherited a toilet that seems to love going brown.
A day or so after a good scrub it's brown again (under the water level).
I get my hands in there and scrub it out but it leaves grey scratches. Tried descaling stuff and I'm going through a lot of products and bleach but it's still the same.
I've never had a toilet like this- where am I going wrong?

Harpic power plus tablets. I put one in the cistern and one in the bowl overnight.

Vinegar! It's saved my life. Tip in a good few slugs of distilled vinegar every few days and let it soak. It disolves the brown limescale without you having to lift a finger.

I have had the harpic tablets, didn't see an improvement!

This toilet is very strange, will try the vinegar!

I'm not a fan of those blue cistern blocks but I'm considering them to hide the colour 😷

I have seen coke recommended as well, never tried it though.
