Ok. What actually is it, do I really need it, how do I use it and which one do I get...?

Its a disinfectant. I use it in the washing machine for stinky gym kit and have used it diluted on puked on carpets

dementedpixie · 24/07/2017 21:48

www.zoflora.co.uk/usage-and-tips/where-to-use-zoflora I like twilight garden

Minesalargeoneplease · 24/07/2017 21:49

I used it on the back seat of the car when the car wee'ed on it. I forever associate the smell of zoflora with cat wee. I NEVER use it. [helpful]

Minesalargeoneplease · 24/07/2017 21:50

Cat not car. Cars don't wee. obviously.

Stillwaitingforsummer · 24/07/2017 21:50

Don't use it thinking you will get rid of disgusting smells - the causes need neutralising first or it will just smell vile but perfumed!

nigelsbigface · 25/07/2017 07:34

I use it all over the gaff-bouquet normally. Smells nice.

Stillwaitingforsummer · 25/07/2017 11:09

You can't put it in a steam cleaner can you?

Steam clean floors with it. Wipe on radiators in the winter. Splash a little in the sinks over night.

GinIsIn · 25/07/2017 20:22

Ok I bought some. I think I might have over-diluted it as it smelled nice at first but faded really quickly.

I mixed my own ultimate zoflora today.

Had 3 bottles all 1/3 full. Bouquet/lavender/hello spring ... mixed them to make a new, divine scent.

GinIsIn · 25/07/2017 20:27

So how much should I actually be using? I have a baby and a dog so I don't want to give their feet chemical burns or anything!!

It's fabulous for getting rid of the smell of vomit buy there are nicer sprays out there imo.

NoDecorum · 26/07/2017 21:55

It's a scented disinfectant. I like Bluebell Woods and Twilight Garden. You can:

  1. After doing the washing up and tidying up the kitchen, fill the sink full of hot water and add a capful. Use to wash down surfaces, cupboard fronts and tiles.
  1. Pour a splash into the toilet and down the bathroom plug hole last thing at night. Wake up to lovely smelling bathroom.
  1. Fold up two sheets of kitchen roll and sprinkle half a cup of Zoflora onto each. Slip into stinky trainers - trainers will be fresh as a daisy come the next day.
  1. Spray diluted onto microfibre cloth and use for general dusting purposes.
  1. Soak cotton balls in favourite Zoflora and hoover them up. Hoover will emit fragrant air, as opposed to musty niff, when in use.
NoDecorum · 26/07/2017 21:55

Half a cap, not half a cup. Gah.

ChocolatePHD · 26/07/2017 22:05

Not to hijack, but could I use Zoflora to clean my son's wellies?? He trod in dogs mess earlier.

wobblywonderwoman · 26/07/2017 22:21

It will break your floor steamer!!

Put a cap or two in your toilet cistern
Cap into the mop bucket
Dilute and put into a spray bottle and mist over carpets etc
Open a pack of baby wipes and pour zoflora in... Lovely smelling wipes for everyday use

PovertyJetset · 26/07/2017 22:22

How will it break the floor steamer??

Zoflorabore · 26/07/2017 22:24

I buy mine at Home Bargains, Asda and Tesco mainly. Wilko sell too and many other places.

As you can tell from my username, I rather love it!

NoDecorum · 26/07/2017 23:02

I've found that places like Poundland and Savers often have really good choice of scents. Also they sell that Vanish whitening stain remover at really low prices and I get through shit tons of that stuff (all bedding in this house is white) Grin

maudeismyfavouritepony · 26/07/2017 23:07

I'm sure it has its uses like cleaning up sick, a bit like Dettol.

Too much disinfectant around the home and on your person (eg the hand gels) is actually bad for you and your immune system. You need some germs , and some of them are good germs!

Disinfectant on the bedding, really??? Why? Confused

sunshineandrainbowsparkles · 27/07/2017 07:41

It's amazing firstly, it smells glorious. Like you've been cleaning all day!
There are no rules as to how you can use it - just dilute and wipe, soak your kitchen cloths overnight, dilute in a spray bottle and use as ironing water/fabric freshener. Put in washing machine (in softener drawer) with towels and bedding. Put a bit on a cotton ball and add to hoover bag for nice smelling Hoover. My particular favourites are hello spring!, honeysuckle&jasmine and pink grapefruit.

mikeyssister · 27/07/2017 12:30

Don't buy Rose - it smells like vomit
