How to wash real wood floorboards

Hi

We've got the original 1930's floorboards in most of our rooms that were varnished about 5 years ago.

Does anyone know the best way to keep these clean? Most cleaning seem too harsh and they don't take well to getting wet. They are exposed in almost every room so I'm after a solution that doesn't involve cleaning in hands and knees if possible.

Thanks Smile

Wood soap in a bucket with a mop.

I use the Method wood floor cleaner.

You can use it neat but I chuck it in a bowl with a little bit of hot water and then mop. I use an e-mop that is wrung out a fair bit so the floors don't get too wet. Dries quickly and smells lovely.

I Hoover my floor boards, and then every so often use floor wipes. They don't need that much cleaning.

The floor wipes can be affixed to those sort of flat rectangle mop thing, I can't describe them very wellz

Teabags. Put a couple in a mop bucket of water and wipe over.

Floor wipes attached to the flat rectangular mop thing! You get those in Wilkos
