Is there a decluttering thread? I've had a look and couldn't see one. Tia

Hoarders Anonymous might fit the bill.

My favourite thread was in 2013.. The m thread. It changed my life.
I am narking my place for a replacement.

I like looking at hoarders annon but it didn't fit the bill.

Lots of Kondo threads offer good advice. So use Kondo ofMarie Kondo in your search title. Alternatively just post a question, because there always seems to be lots of friendly MNetter offering sensible advice and sharing their own experience.

Start one op. I'll join.
Biggest problem here is kids toys. Reluctant to get rid of anything.

I found a good way with kids toys is to,play a game of shop. All of the toys were put out and they were allowed to choose 10 each. Three or four days later we played Swop. Eventually, after about 2 weeks it emerged that some toys remained in "the shop" . It was a slow process but gradually the amount of toys reduced as the unused ones were taken to the charity shop. I also became much stricter with family buying toys, because the bi-annual influx undone all my hard work.
