Zoflora tips (this is my best one so far)

Teenage sons trainers are stinky. We have a tiny utility room (more of a cupboard really) that fits in the washer, dryer, laundry basket, plus shoe and coat rack. The smell of his trainers can permeate the whole space and beyond.

Last night I folded up two sheets of kitchen roll into slim rectangles, sprinkled each with half a cup of Zoflora, and slipped them into his trainers. This morning his trainers were fresh as a daisy, as was the utility cupboard and hall. It's a sodding revelation.

Not only that, but when you take the kitchen roll out of the trainers and put it in the recycling bin, it freshens the bin too.

Good god, what have I become.

Oh dear. Widges = wedges.

Surely if the trainers smell that bad, it's time to replace them??

That is an amazing idea about the sanitary pads. Brilliant tip, thank you!

Inspired by this...
Since today is bin day, and my black general refuse bin was whiffy before collection, I decided to ZoFlo it.
Neighbours had already collected their bins in, so I thoroughly cleaned small food scraps bin, then filled it with hot water and zoflo and empited if into black bin and whooshed it about.
Smugly returnin bins to their rightful place i noticed that food bin did not have my house number on it.
Yes, my neighbour now has a pristine food bin and I will have to ask her back for my (manky) own one!

They're new trainers, Teddy! Cost me a pretty penny n'all. My son just has stinky man feet Grin

Lol at the sanitary towel tip, reminds me of when our cat loved playing with unwrapped deapplicatored tampax, must have thought they were little mice with long tails. It became normal to have a few strewn around. Not normal for visitors.

Grin Breakfast

If I was your neighbour I would be immensely grateful.

Might it not cause an allergic reaction? Putting trainers in the washing machine is not recommended.
I soak smelly stuff like gym kit in disinfectant or disinfectant/antiseptic (any that I can find that doesn't have that horrible disinfectant smell) then wash it as normal.
If I have trainers that I love, I wash them by hand.

Just making up a spray bottle of zoflora!

I need to do so much in my house today, I have OCD and struggle with it not being clean to my stupidly high standards.

If I have my spray bottle I can tackle quite a few jobs AND give the illusion of a clean house as it will smell beautiful Grin

I have purchased zoflora today ready to use when i tackle my housework tomorrow.I am a tad excited as my house has been neglected of late and i want it to be nice and clean and smelling fresh again.

dementedma · 22/07/2017 19:25

i have soaked a cotton wool pad in Zoflora - the linen one - and put it in the hoover bag. smells nice.
