Stained oilcloth tablecloth

So after a few years of cheap vinyl tablecloths from Dunelm that split after about 6 months, I splashed out on a lovely matt, proper oil cloth tablecloth.

The very first time I used it some baked beans were spilt which stained it, with a bit of rubbing i managed to get it off but with two kids it was inevitable that it would happed again. Yesterday someone had a tomato pasta sauce and spilt it in several places and it's not shifting. I've tried normal anti bacterial spray, bleach spray, vanish spray, vanish oxide action, and now bleach. Nothing is working. Any suggestions?

Olive oil for tomato stains. Just keep running it on and wiping it off with clean kitchen towel.

Thanks. No joy unfortunately. I think that might have worked before it dried. It seems to have stained the matt surface.

Make up a paste of sodium bicarbonate & bleach. Leave for a few hours & wipe well. Gets everything out it you leave it long enough!

Would putting it in the sun help? Mine is currently stained with pollen from a vase of lilies:(

Thanks, will try the paste, and then the sun!

I have found that stains eventually disappear on their own - I have a pale grey oilcloth, and large curry and pasta sauce stains have disappeared after a few weeks. All I did was wipe with a a Dettol wipe and then leave alone, so I wondered if they were repelled in some way. However, I read when buying mine that matt oilcloth stains more than gloss, so it may not be the case for yours.
