My sofa has some scratch like splits on it?

Is this age or some lack of care by me?

Do they look like cracks? Over years have come to conclusion that the finer and softer the leather the more prone it is that sort of thing. My aunt and my parents both bought leather sofas from World of Leather. My parents bought the most expensive leather and my aunt a much cheaper one which was harder and not nearly so expensive. My parents' suite became crazed with tiny splits whereas my aunt's is in great condition after 27 years. I had a similar experience with a lovely, super soft Ema bag I bought in Florence. Within a year it too had felted and looked awful. Other harder leathers have lasted a lot longer. I would also say that my parents used special cream as recommended but it didn't stop the trouble. How long have you had it? Sounds as if it is worth a complaint. So sorry for your problem. Do hope it doesn't get worse.Sad

Meant to say Emy. Spell check kicked in.

Washing power in hot water, rub in and wipe off with tea towel

If your sofa happens to be cream this is amazing at getting the dirt out the cracks

Leather needs conditioning to stop it cracking
