crying over spilt milk

My 2 year old son managed to get a big 4 pint bottle of milk out of the fridge and poured it onto my fabric sofa. Sigh. It's soaked right through the foam cushion pad. Help!

That is going to smell bad. Can you wash the covers and replace the foam cushions ?

DSD did something similar here when she was about 10! Since then we have wrapped a waterproof sheet over the sofa with throws on top. It's a bit crunchy you could say but still really comfortable. DD has had a few accidents sitting on the sofa and no damage has been done although I did get a new sofa out of it last time and would love a new 3 piece suite GrinWink

When da did this over his bed (!!!!) I washed what I could, sponge washed what I couldn't then wiped with a dilute solution of water and Zoflora. It didn't smell.

can you get the foam into the garden and hose it until it runs clear?
