Does it make any difference to the performance of a hoover if you use non-manufacturer bags? There is a huge price difference.

I have a Miele Cat and Dog and use Wilkos generic bags. Can't say I find there's any difference at all and as you say, massively cheaper!!

Thanks cat. I've just got a new Miele cat and dog! I was worried I might damage it but I always used generic bags in my old hoover and it was ok. Nowhere as good as the Miele though. I'm really pleased with it.

I've heard of Miele vacs in particular that have been damaged by using the copy bags & they void your warranty.

I would check with your local vac shop which are the best to use.

I find really cheap ones on Amazon or eBay. They do the job just as well.

rabbit, no idea if that is true or not, but how would they know? 😶

JaneJeffer · 14/07/2017 22:51

Well I don't want to damage my new Miele rabbit but I wouldn't tell them I had used cheap bags if I did Wink

I use the dustbag website to order mine Fairy they have good prices.
