I have a Shark and I LOVE IT! I find it much easier to use than the Dyson (which is now a swear word in my house lol). Its lighter and I love the lift away facility on my version.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 12/07/2017 10:14

Do you have the cylinder one, which separates or the rocket stick one?

I've been looking at getting one too.

alwaysthepessimist · 12/07/2017 10:18

I have just ordered this one:

www.very.co.uk/shark-hv305uknbsplightnbsphandsticknbspvacuum-cleaner/1600165023.prd

read lots of reviews now and Shark are getting really good press

SquirrelWatcher · 12/07/2017 10:21

Just bought one and I love it! It sucks up a satisfying amount of crap, and you don't have to push it as such, it's motorised to 'pull' forward so makes it much less of a heavy job.

ofudginghell · 12/07/2017 11:03

Go one last summer.
Love love love it.
Got the lift away version. It's in use daily in our house with three dc and two dogs and it's never let me down yet.
I have the lift away version and it's so much easier and lighter than a dyson
Brilliant for stairs awkward corners and ceilings

Notgotajarofglue · 13/07/2017 20:17

I've got the rocket pet and its ace.

Izzy24 · 15/07/2017 10:39

Just looking at John Lewis website and there are two Shark models- about £100 price difference.

I've read the specifications and can't see the difference.

Any thoughts?

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 15/07/2017 17:21

Izzy The only thing I can see in a quick look is that one is slightly more powerful

AConvivialHost · 15/07/2017 17:25

I bought a Shark Liftaway after having Dysons for years, and it is fab on carpets - less great on hardwood floors. Not really an issue for us, as the only hard floor we have is the hall, but might be an issue if you have mainly wooden/hard flooring.

Whileweareonthesubject · 15/07/2017 17:35

I have this one and I love it. It's not amazing on stairs, but I have a small handheld for stairs anyway. Can't believe how my carpets are always so thick now-it really pulls the pile up like new again.

Whileweareonthesubject · 15/07/2017 17:36

If you are a mainly hardwood floor home, mine has a special head for haedfloors. Easy to switch and really polishes as well as sucking up debris.

SafeToCross · 15/07/2017 18:06

Thanks AConvivialHost and Whileweareonthesubject - would like one of these but mostly wood and tiles downstairs, so good to know.

SafeToCross · 15/07/2017 18:16

Oh, shame they don't do a cordless one, or do they [hopeful]

ilovesprouts · 02/01/2018 15:54

now i have the shark liftaway the steamer and just got the cordless one with the two batteries Grin
