Washing machine help...

So I do plan on getting this fixed next payday. But just wondered if anyone had experienced the same thing, my washing machine, just over a year old, keeps leaving stains on my clothes. I don't know what it is but it ruins the clothes. And stain remover doesn't budge it. Anyone had the same??

Bumping for you. I have no idea, hopefully someone else does!

Could it be suncream or food stains?

I've had this it was grease from the bearings.

It's not stains from anything, the same happened to my daughters white bedding which went in with no stains and came out looking like this! Hoping it's fixable. Thanks for responses x

It does look suspiciously like oil, and in a washing machine there is only one place oil can come from - the bearings.

If the bearings have gone, unless you have an older machine, it is almost definitely going to be more expensive to fix than replace (on new machines, the bearings are sealed in to the outer drum and fixed to the inner drum. This means to fix, you would need an entire drum assembly (anywhere between £200-£300 pound). In the bid to make machines cheaper to buy, a lot of the manufacturing has changed, and hence makes it almost always cheaper to buy new.
