Can you unshrink clothes you have shrunk in the tumble drier?

DDs school have changed their uniform supplier. For the last 6 years I have been washing and tumble drying her jumpers and cardigans in accordance with the care instructions. I replaced them last week and it never even occurred to me to check the care label. I've washed, dried and shrunk her new cardigan as it is not suitable for tumble drying.
Can I remedy this?
I know it's my fault as I should have checked the labels and noticed that the new ones had different instructions, but am I going to have to buy new or is there something I can do?

You could try this method before having to buy a new jumper but it may depend on the fabric.
