Grubby chair arms

Hello! I have the IKEA strandmon chair in yellow and have noticed that the arms have gone a bit grubby and discoloured.

Does anyone have any tips on cleaning arms on armchairs?

Stardrops Original in a bit of warm water - dunk a cloth in it, squeeze it out really well and then clean the upholstery with a gentle circular motion. Don't have the cloth too wet or you'll get water marks.

Did you find this worked @princesseggo?

My yellow strandmon is very grubby, but I'm worried about making it look worse if I start trying to clean it. But I love how vibrant it originally was.

Thanks for the tip @wowfudge, do you think this is only good for light cleaning or is it suitable for a rather grubby armchair?

@Rac7777 - I cleaned a whole sofa which I was on the verge of throwing out as I thought the arms were really worn. They weren't, they were just filthy. It came up really well and got a whole new lease of life.

The main thing is not to get the piece of furniture too wet.

Thanks @wowfudge. That's what I don't trust myself to do!
Going to wait for Summer to come back and do it on a nice warm day to help it dry quicker.
