Cleaning a heated towel rail

It's the worst part of cleaning the bathroom!

Is there an easy way? Some miracle products I can use? It's chrome and either looks dusty or streaky

I just get a damp microfibre cloth and wipe along each bar.

Toilet tissue when you're having a poo.
Mine is next to the loo though

Mine is also getting rusty underneath all the bars so watching with interest.

Mind you, 1am on a Saturday night is probably not the best time to bump this thread!

But with the cloth wrapped round the bar, so I'm gripping it well iyswim. Sounds a bit rude.

If you get rusty bits then scrubbing with damp scrunched up tin foil works MIRACLES.

I hang my socks to dry on ours so dual purpose with dusting 👍🏼

Barkeeper's Friend gets rid of the rust.

Am I the only person who sees the 'hot don't touch' in hotels and does it anyway?

Baby wipes or whatever bathroom wipes and wrap it round and it will clean up fine then a duster to dry it i hate my towel rail it is a pita to reach up and clean

Glass cleaner works wonders on chrome and stainless steel.

To remove light rust, dip a damp sponge in bicarbonate of soda and gently rub over the rusty spots.

Damp cloth and then dry cloth. Lasts about two minutes before it gets new marks though.

White vinegar sprayed onto microfibre cloth, each rung (doing the grippy thing) then the ends.

Glass cleaner works a treat on these
