Pee on sofa!

My 3yr old fell asleep on the sofa and pee'd himself. I've used hot water and washing up liquid to scrub it and leaving it to dry. The smell won't go! The sofa covers aren't removable. Any advice before I begin again? Thanks

Have you got a garden? Could you take it outside and wash it with liquid washing detergent and a hose?

You'll have a soggy sofa if you do that! Get some Simple Solution pet stain and odour remover - it is brilliant. But there's no point cleaning unless you have swabbed up the urine - stand on a towel on the cushion on the floor and you'll be surprised what comes out. You may need to repeat - take the cover off the cushion first if you can. Bicarb is a very good odour remover so you could sprinkle that on and leave overnight then vacuum it off instead of getting the pet stain stuff.
