New dishwasher recommendations

I need a new dishwasher. My 4 year old SMEG one has died, which I'm cross about...4 years old that's nothing! ANYHOO it's a minefield looking at new ones. Can anyone recommend any? We are a family of 5 and it needs to be integrated.

We got this Neff from about a year ago and it has been brilliant
It cleans so much better than the Bosch it replaced

It has a cutlery drawer/rack at the top instead of a basket, which is brilliant and means I can fit loads more in, and we got a free extended Warranty from John Lewis

We've got a Neff one a couple of months ago, but with a cutlery basket. I like being able to chuck things in. Ours was from Co-op Electricals and cost just over £300.

We've got a Neff one as well and have been very pleased with it. Much better than the one we had before.

Bosch, Neff & Siemens are all made by the same company and use the same design & parts.

I miss our Bosch dishwasher. It was brilliant. Better than the more expensive Miele that replaced it. I hate the cutlery tray at the top of our dishwasher, it takes up too much space so I can't fit both pint glasses in the top and dinner plates in the bottom.
The warranty runs out on it next year & then it's going on eBay!

Paykel & Fisher double draw dishwasher are not the cheapest but are well made and practical. No gunk to clear from the rubber door liner and the dog cannot give the plates a prewash

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/06/2017 19:41

Rabbit Does the top rack drop down? My cousin nearly bought new plates before realising they could drop it down.

I love my Miele. It was £1500 & I'm taking it with me if we ever move, that said my Bosch logixx was fab too.

rabbit123 · 15/06/2017 20:04

fluffycloudland77 the top basket has 2 heights. On its lowest setting, it fits pint glasses and wine glasses in the top but doesn't fit dinner plates in the bottom. And on the highest setting, it's the other way around - takes the plates but not the glasses.
We've got 3 different dinner services abs have the same problem with them all. I often have to run it twice...cause I'm sure as hell not washing up.
Don't get me wrong, it washes well but I I wish I'd gone with a model with a basket or an different brand

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/06/2017 20:23

Thats terrible, at least it will sell on ebay.

gemmatay · 15/06/2017 22:20

We've got a Bosch dishwasher and it's really good. Very good build quality and it's decently priced.

bumblebee61 · 15/06/2017 22:24

i've had two Bosch dishwashers that have never given me any trouble and just keep on going. Other brands just seem to pack in quite quickly.

wowfudge · 16/06/2017 07:05

At £1500 I'm not surprised you are taking it with you Fluffy! That's a very expensive appliance.
