Hello again
{{hugs}} to all usual FLY ladies and Newbies

Hope all are OK. *Glass slipper for dd, hope she's getting better and you're OK

Grouchy update...Thought I'd pop into town after dropping DS off at school. I traipsed around for a bit, got DS some fab bits from charity shops and a price list to sort out my mothers day pressy (parrafin wax treatment and manicure I think) and was home in good time to collect him. He's being a sweetheart at the moment and we've had 2 days going to and from school with no dramas. He deserved a treat. I'm still wibbly wobbly and need to rest lots but I feel a lot better in my head.

Done List
Up
DS up
Downstairs with washing
Load and run WM
Empty DW
Clear drainimg board
Put it away
Make breakfast with DS (he loves making 'powwige')
Serve and scoff
Tidy away
Wash me and DS
Get dressed
Dress DS
Take him to school.
Off to town
Back home
Vac Landing and staircase
Vac downstairs
Collect DS
Make lunch
Tidy away
Up to DH's office for online games (DS) and MN time (me)

So it's taking it easy time now.

Hope you're all doing OK

sigh.......

wish I hadn't said I'd schlepp over to see a friend tonight - I have TOO MUCH TO DO!

JustIvor · 20/03/2007 15:47

I've copied and pasted grouchyoscar's tips on paperwork so that I can refer to them. As I have a large dining table covered in papers and other stuff, it would be good to follow those tips and get it sorted.

I haven't done a great deal today as I've been to and fro with ds being ill. Still, I've lit the fire and kept it in, done 2 loads of washing and put it on the line, got stuff out of the freezer for tea, looked at ebay and decided not to bid on some stuff, wrote an e-mail, ordered lots of things for dh and ds from the M&S sale, put the d/w on and got some papers ready for re-using by my neighbour. Off to do some more. Oh, and the workmen have been and done the job so that's one less thing to worry about.

Cookies are off. In my commando-shop at the health food shop I mistakenly grabbed organic barley malt extract instead of golden syrup...same jar.

Bleeugh - any suggestions as to what to do with it?[hmm}

ludaloo · 20/03/2007 16:44

pecka you are doing really well, lets hope you can get into the swing of things quickly again

ludaloo · 20/03/2007 17:08

9nut absolutely no idea what you can do with organic barley malt extract! Is it anything like marmite???

EHM did you have a good weekend? and yes...i'm afraid I'm a teensy bit crazy its this SAHM thing I'm sure of it!!

jelley just hello and I'm of a pantry too!

upsadaisy cool name...you have no idea how many times a day I say your name!!

ludaloo · 20/03/2007 17:10

phew...have to do it in stages these days!! So many lovely ladies!!

staceym11 · 20/03/2007 17:33

yaddah sorry to hear about you FIL! try not to worry about the house, it will still be there in a few weeks time (even if you have to start from scratch, its not the end of the world!)

luda (and anyone else that inquired) ds is fine, the hv wasnt worried about him so i dont think its anything to worry about, hes been sick since but no blood which is a good sign!!

well no flying done today (except a load of washing and sortign the washing from yest!!) havnt even done the washing up from last night!!! i fell asleep in front of the tv in the bedroom while dh watched football in living room!

dd is getting potty training! yay!! she only gets confused when shes got knickers on maybe we'll be staying home a lot htis week!!

oh quick question, nothing to do with flying, but does anyone know how i can get her to stop playing with her bits? now she has access to them shes fiddling!! i keep telling her that they are her private parts and if she wants to fiddle she has to go to her bedroom, seems to be working so far! anyone else had similar?

staceym11 · 20/03/2007 17:37

oh GO brill paperwork tips!!

we have 2 files 1 for me 1 for dh, each of us goes through it about once a month, chucking the rubbish shredding address' and putting into the files, took forever to start with but now is easy (would be even easier if we did it each day/week but oh well!!)

glassslipper · 20/03/2007 17:38

lol staceym11. my dd did this when she was potty training and for a few months after. the novelty wears off although i still have to remind her sometimes not to fiddle.

staceym11 · 20/03/2007 17:44

just looks a bit doesnt it, i dont really care but its a private thing!!!

ludaloo · 20/03/2007 18:02

stacey I have the "fiddling" problem with my ds...TBH I ignore it...unless he does it when we are out...or have people round, then he gets told not too...he hardly does it now actually...when he first went into pants he did it a lot!

staceym11 · 20/03/2007 18:05

my ds does it and hes 5 months !! only at bum off time tho!! be kinda hard through all the layers of his nappies!

ludaloo · 20/03/2007 18:05

I also occassionally catch DD1 doing it whilst watch tv and things...she is 5 1/2!!! I do tell her to stop as she isn't very discreet!!! And she was out of nappies a long time ago..so she should have had long enough to stop! (and understand it is a private thing!)

Jelley · 20/03/2007 18:07

I don't remember the dds doing it, but ds is constantly fiddling from the second take his nappy off. I have to prise his hand away to put the nappy back on sometimes!

ludaloo · 20/03/2007 18:08

Lol! I think boys are worse...ds is 3 1/2 and has calmed down a bit now actually, but he has been known to sit and pull it in all kinds of directions....makes me cringe!! how it doesn't hurt I have no idea!!! DH seems to have some weird male understanding thing going on...he too is known to fiddle whilst watching the tv!!! LOL!!! He'd kill me for telling you all that!!!
