Paint on tiles how to remove and should i bother

Hi

Moved into a house and conservatory currently has a cream carpet down. With 2 teenagers and a baby this of course is now disgudting. I have investigated underneath and there a tiles but some fools painted them (emulsion i think) Any tips on removing the paint quickly and effortlessly and should I or will it be to cold to use the room without under floor heating????

Really confused HELP Please

You would prob need to use something nasty like dilute caustic soda to have any hope of removing the paint - probably not worth the hassle IMO.

Carpet is warmer, and safer for little ones, but you might be able to tile over the existing tiles?
