Hello

I have managed to spill about 1/3 of a 1 litre tub of coconut oil all the way down our medium brown wool mix carpeted stairs, on a hot day when the oil was liquidShockConfused

I scooped up what I could, blotted with kitchen towel, put bicarbonate of soda and then hoovered after a couple of hours. It is still stained.what else can I do? Please help! Did I mention that I live with my mum and said carpet is actually hers?ShockBlush

You need something to absorb as much oil as possible - try talc or cornflour on one area to see if it works. Then detergent to dissolve what is left. To be honest it probably going to be better to get a professional to clean the carpet - they will have the correct cleaning stuff and powerful equipment.

That's not for shifting oil by the look of things.

Thanks for your replies. I only wish it had been just juice and not oilSad

I think I will try one step with washing up liquid Tom. But I am seriously thinking about getting a professional in as you suggest wowfudge.
