Freezing mince not on day I bought it question

Hi so I got a load of mince on Monday to make burgers with for a BBQ on Saturday. I wanted to make them tonight and then freeze them uncooked. Will this be ok as I've obviously had the mince in my fridge for three days and it always says freeze on day of purchase but surely it will be ok won't it? Don't want to poison all my friends and family 🙈

It will be fine, I have done this lots of times. If it is still in date and been refrigerated, can't see why it wouldn't be.

Yes I'd think that was fine, you can tell when mince goes off, it discolours so as long as it looks ok and doesn't smell off it'll be fine

Speaking as a highly vigilant, germ fearing, person, with diagnosed OCD - I'd be totally fine with that.

If the mince is still within its use by date at the point of freezing, I don't see a problem.

It's date of 5th June. Thanks all I thought so too but had a conversation with my mum and she wasn't sure! I have huge IBS issues so have to be very careful what I eat and I had thought it was fine. Thanks again Smile
