Foil & parchment on same roll?

Got a roll of foil and parchment together as a special one time at Aldi and find it really useful and better than using both but have never seen it since and haven't found it anywhere else - does anyone know of anywhere that stocks it? many thanks

I think Lakeland sell it.

Yes, Lakeland.

Sainsbury's sell it too.

Sainsburys! We have it. Also have foil, and parchment separately.

Waitrose

I am intrigued - why is it good? Surely you need one or the other, usually?

Mouthfulofquiz · 01/06/2017 21:36

I've tried the Lakeland one and also the one that is sold at Tesco. The Lakeland one is much nicer (but also more expensive)

CoconutPancakes · 01/06/2017 22:05

it's great for baking fish and wrapping cooked ham joints, amongst other things

CoconutPancakes · 01/06/2017 22:05

better than foil or parchment alone

Wh0Kn0wsWhereTheTimeGoes · 01/06/2017 22:40

It has the non-stickness of parchment and the strength and stay-put properties of foil. So if you wrap fish it stays done up, if you put it in a tin for a traybake it moulds to the shape of the tin and doesn't ping out while you put the mix in etc.

LaGattaNera · 02/06/2017 19:05

yes it is better than separate foil & parchment - it is thicker and does hold its shape well. Sometimes foil or parchment alone is ok but for some things I do find the combined roll superior eg for meat. Had a look on Waitrose website just now and couldn't see it, nor on Sainsburys and have looked in both shops previously.
As an aside I find the non-stick foil useless and not non-stick.

Not seen it before so had a google to look and Wilko do it too although not sure it's much difference in price to Lakeland as they are smaller rolls

I bought it by accident from Ocado, it was handy but I've not bought it again. Easy to line cake tins.
