Can I put a plastic tablecloth in the washing machine?

I have a plastic tablecloth under dd's highchair. It saves the floor but is a pain to scrub clean.
Does anyone know if I can bung it on a 30 wash?

I've thought about doing that, as I have a similar problem at the moment, and have decided to swirl mine around in the bath for a bit.

I put a cotton backed pvc tablecloth in the wash, the oilcloth wipe clean type. I didn't hang it up wet and it's gone all wrinkly but ok.

Yes. So you mean like an oil cloth? Yes anyway. Everything goes in the wash or it just wasn't meant to be mine for long Grin

Hmmm, it's one of these. direct.asda.com/george/home-garden/tea-towels-aprons/george-home-wipe-clean-heart-print-tablecloth/050131602,default,pd.html?action=product_interest&action_type=image&bucket_id=irsbucketdefault&placement_id=GRGPPH&config_id=GRGPPH&parent_item_id=001403299&strategy=SMT&category=&product_id=050131602&findingMethod=p13n
The description says it's peva. Not sure if it's worth the risk.
Bath is a good idea though. The lazy part of me is really tempted by the washer though.

Sorry, that is a ridiculous link.

I put mine in the machine on a 30 minute quick wash. Hung it straight up on the line and it was fine. I've washed both the oil cloth type ones and the pvc ones.

Thanks zen. My laziness won out in the end and I shoved it in. I have just taken it out and it looks fine.
