My kettle has got a lot of lime scale build up and I can't get it out. I have tried oust but didn't really help. Anyone have a better solution. It's also in the spout.

I live in a hard water area and use citric acid to clean my kettle about once a week.
I buy the food grade one from Ebay but most chemists also sell it.
I literally tip some in and boil the kettle and tip it out again. Quick rinse with cold water and the kettle is ready to use.
It might take a few attempts if you have a lot of build up but it's the easiest and cheapest way I know.

I use a table spoon of white vinegar in a kettle full of water and boil it. It cleans my glass kettle beautifully.

I use outst and it's great. Sounds like an awful lot of build up and uou need to do repeated treatments.
