Help!!! I'm desperate for a tumble dryer and I have no space for one so the only other option is to replace our washer with a washer dryer but most people I know that have one say the dryer is awful and takes like 3hours to dry a 2/3 full load!! Does anyone have a good one? And could they tell me how long it takes to actually dry a load?? Thanks!!

this is mine. It does take longer to wash and dry than my old machine. I think that's partly down to the fact that it's cold fill only, so has to heat the water, whereas my old machine was hot/cold fill. As far as drying is concerned, this one has a cool down time at the end of the drying programme, so I prefer to use the sensor system - it can tell when the clothes are dry and stops automatically, rather than drying for a set time. If I do a full load of washing, I generally split it into two loads for drying. Drying time does depend on what you are drying - towels take longer than t shirts etc. I've had washer dryers for so long now that I don't really notice how long they take. I can't stand having damp washing around the house so can't imagine not having a dryer. Also, I don't need to use fabric conditioner on towels so they dry better.
Just taken a load of work t shirts out that the sensor originality said would take 3.5hours. They are dry in just under half that time.
